- Existential concerns and spiritual issues
- Relationship challenges
- Life transitions, including career changes, aging, and family issues
Therapy is also especially helpful for highly sensitive people (HSPs) and empaths who want to navigate their unique challenges, build confidence, and deepen their understanding of themselves.
What are the signs that therapy might be right for me?
You might benefit from therapy if you:
- Feel stuck, overwhelmed, or emotionally drained

- Experience difficulty managing relationships or setting boundaries
- Find yourself repeating unhealthy patterns
- Want to build confidence and self-trust
- Are navigating a major life transition or loss

What are the benefits of therapy for highly sensitive people and empaths?
As a highly sensitive person (HSP) or empath, you may feel overwhelmed by emotions, deeply affected by other people’s energy, or struggle with setting boundaries. Therapy can help you:
- Understand and honor your sensitivity as a strength
- Develop strategies to manage emotional overwhelm
- Develop strategies to manage emotional overwhelm
- Learn how to protect your energy and establish healthy boundaries
- Build confidence in navigating relationships
- Deepen your connection with your intuition and inner wisdom
- Reduce feelings of guilt or self-blame for being sensitive
My therapy approach is tailored to the unique needs of HSPs and empaths, helping you feel more grounded, balanced, and empowered.
How often will we meet?
We’ll decide together how often to meet based on your goals and needs. Most clients begin with weekly sessions for 4–12 weeks. As you begin to feel better, we can adjust the frequency:
- Initially weekly sessions for deeper work and faster progress
- Then tapering to every two weeks or monthly for ongoing support
- Some clients continue to check in every few weeks or months to maintain growth and balance
Consistency brings the best results. Meeting regularly allows us to make meaningful progress and create lasting change.
What is the duration of therapy?
Therapy is flexible and tailored to you based on your needs and goals:
- Short-term therapy (a few months) – for support through a difficult time or focused work on specific issues.
- Long-term therapy (6 months to a year or more) – for deeper healing, childhood trauma, long-standing patterns, or ongoing life transitions and stressors.
- Ongoing therapy – Many clients continue therapy for years because they find that the regular support and time for themselves deepens their quality of life
Some clients take a break and return when life brings new challenges. My goal is to meet you where you are and support you in whatever way feels right. I am generally very flexible and willing to work with your needs and desires. I support and trust clients to make their decisions about length of time in counseling.
What can I expect in our first session?
Meeting with a therapist for the first time can feel vulnerable—I do everything I can to make you feel comfortable and supported.
In our first session, we’ll:
- Talk about your background and the issues you’d like to address
- Clarify your goals for therapy
- Explore any questions or concerns you have
- Begin building trust and a sense of safety
The first session is about getting to know each other and making sure you feel comfortable moving forward.
What therapeutic approaches do you use?
I take a holistic, experiential approach that goes deeper than traditional talk therapy. I’m trained in several highly effective, cutting-edge modalities, including:
- Internal Family Systems (IFS) – Helps you understand and heal inner parts of yourself.
- Hakomi (Body-Centered Psychotherapy) – Mindfulness-based therapy that helps process emotional experiences through the body.
- Brainspotting – A brain-based trauma therapy that helps release deep emotional blocks.
- Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT/Tapping) – Reduces stress and emotional overwhelm through acupressure points.
- Psych-K – Reprograms limiting subconscious beliefs.
- Intuitive Energy Healing – Helps balance emotional and energetic patterns.
We’ll choose the approaches that work best for you, combining mindfulness, body-based work, and energy work for deep, lasting change.
I see that you also offer Therapy Intensives. How do I know if I should schedule an Intensive or hourly therapy?
Good question! It depends on several factors, including the issues you want to address, your therapy goals, and your schedule.
Therapy Intensives are ideal if:
- You want to make faster progress in a shorter amount of time
- You have specific trauma or emotional blocks to work through
- You prefer to immerse yourself in the process rather than spreading it out over months
- You like extended time for thorough healing
We can discuss which format might be right for you during a free consultation or intake session.

How do I know you are the right therapist for me?
Choosing a therapist is personal. The right fit matters. You might find that I’m a good fit if you:
- Are highly sensitive or empathic and need someone who understands that experience
- Are a therapist or healing professional wanting someone with decades of experience working with many healers without judgment
- Are drawn to deeper, body-based therapy rather than just talking
- Want to explore emotional patterns, subconscious blocks, or spiritual questions
- Are seeking a safe, supportive space to explore your inner world
- Prefer a small practice where all your communication is directly with me (no office staff)
- Prefer a therapist with a small case load who is committed to arriving to your session resourced, unhurried, and fully present for you
I offer a free 10–15 minute phone consultation so you can ask questions and get a feel for how I work. Trust your intuition—you’ll know if it feels right.
I see you offer virtual sessions. But is online therapy effective?
Yes! Many clients find virtual therapy just as effective as in-person therapy. As long as you have a quiet, private space where you can feel comfortable, online therapy can deliver the same benefits. It can even be the most effective option because it:
- Saves time and energy from commuting
- Allows you to feel comfortable in your own space
- Makes therapy more accessible and convenient
What issues do you specialize in?
While I’ve worked with a wide range of issues over my 20+ years of experience, I specialize in:
- Therapy for therapists and other helping professionals
- Highly Sensitive People (HSPs), empaths, and intuitives
- Perfectionists, high achievers, and gifted individuals
- Existential and spiritual concerns
- Issues with midlife and aging
How big is your practice and what does that mean for me?
I run a private, solo practice, which means:
- You work directly with me for all interactions from scheduling to answering calls and emails—no large office staff
- Your therapy is highly personalized and tailored to your needs
- Sessions are unhurried, and I arrive resourced and fully present for you
My goal is to offer the highest level of care in a safe, warm, supportive, personalized environment.
Do you take insurance?
I am not in network with insurance panels. However, I can provide a superbill to submit to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement, or, in some instances, I can file for you. Reimbursement varies depending on your plan.
Clients are encouraged to contact their insurance company about their out-of-network benefits for outpatient psychotherapy prior to scheduling. Make sure to ask questions like: Do I have a deductible for out-of-network services? Have I met my out-of-network deductible? Do you reimburse CPT billing code 90837 (outpatient psychotherapy)? What is the rate of reimbursement for 90837? What is the allowable amount for reimbursement?
Here is a helpful resource: The Complete Guide to Out-Of-Network Reimbursement.
Can I use my Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flex Account for therapy?
Yes! Many clients use pre-tax HSA or Flex Accounts to pay for therapy.
