Online Therapy

For your convenience, comfort, and safety, I offer therapy online and by phone for people living anywhere in Georgia. For online sessions, we will meet on a secure video platform that can be accessed from your computer, smart phone, or tablet.

Support in the Comfort of Your Home

Are you someone who does your best work and self-reflection from home, snuggled in a your bed or a cozy chair with a cup of tea and maybe your pet nearby?  For Introverts and Highly Sensitive people, being at home with no distractions is often the preferred place to do inner work.

The thought of venturing out for a therapy session can feel disruptive or inconvenient.  You want the opportunity to explore your inner world and get support for what’s bothering you, but driving through traffic to get to a therapy office might pull you out of your flow.

When you’re at home in your safe space, you can feel more comfortable to drop in to the therapy process and have more time afterward to integrate what surfaced during the sessions. The overstimulation and lost time of traveling back and forth to therapy can override the benefits.

Time to Reflect, Not Rush

I have seen so many clients arrive to an in-person session frazzled because they had to rush there or are worried about getting back to work on time. It’s hard to get the most out of the session when you’re feeling overstimulated.

If you’re fitting therapy into the middle of your day, whether from home or the office, those minutes before and after the session are so precious. Instead, that time could be used to reflect on your needs before the session and to digest the session afterwards.

Easy and Private

Sometimes the hardest part about getting therapy is actually getting there or finding a therapist in your community that you can connect with.  Some people prefer to meet with someone outside of their community for privacy reasons. Let’s take out the overwhelm of commuting and the stress of finding the time to get the support you need.

But is Online Therapy Effective?

Many people find online or phone therapy just as effective as in person.  As long as you have a safe, private location where you have the freedom to feel and express what comes up, online therapy can deliver the same results as in person therapy for most people.  And for many people, it is the most effective option, because it saves you the time and effort from driving to and from a therapy office.
